Greens roll super well and the course is well taken care of . Their tee sheets are booked super tight so the pace can be a little slow , but I can see why it’s a popular course for the area !

Well kept, fair price....SLOW PLAY! now it did appear to be addressed and the 3 some only played nine. Back nine moved a little better. don't be afraid to put 2 twosomes together. Suggest an after golf special on food and non alcohol drinks. If u had one I missed it.

My comments about St Clair Shores Golf Club can be mixed. It's definitely a good course with good conditions, but the scenery here can be missing the class it should, and one of the reasons is most of the holes are lining up against the Masonic road, and it's quite busy. (The guy played with me complained about the same thing) Hole 3, 325 yards Par 4, you don't get to see the green from tee box, as it's blocked by the trees at the end of cart path, and you also don't get to see the river in front of the green, as it's in the ditch. So you have to use 3 wood instead of driver, otherwise your ball will roll easily into the river, like mine [Sob]. Hole 4, 330 yards Par 4, shares the similar concept like Hole 3, but you'll get to see the lake in front of the green, watch out! And that's about it for the Front 9. For the Back 9, Hole 12 is a beautiful one, classic golf neighborhood type of Par 3, with river in front and houses in the back of the green, quote a view. Hole 13, 440+ yards Par 5, your tee shot is facing the same river as Hole 12, and the fairway is dogleg left with a lake on the right to the green )as everyone will tend to aim right. I’ve played 6 rounds here over the past month. Fairways and greens are in great shape. They are in the process of repaving some cart paths, but it didn’t affect play other than one or two holes being redirected. Wish more of the players would fix their ball marks and sand their divots. No excuse other than laziness. Friendly pro shop, but one of the starters is grouchy as hell! Who knows why? Being a starter is a chill job. All in all a great place to play and a good value.

This is a lovely Matthews designed golf course, it is a very traditional layout that has great looks and views as you approach each hole. If you haven't played, you won't be disappointed. The courses immaculately maintained by the greens crew and by the golfers that respect the cars! A must try
